The album celebrates the music of Joel’s teenage years - American pop from the late 1950s and early 1960s, most notably doo-wop and soul music. Joel received a nomination for the 26th Grammy Award for Album of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Uptown Girl."
